Life’s Work Vision Statement

I connect progressive independent businesses to market opportunities throughout the world.

I am an export management consultant and export agent for progressive independent businesses. My clients apply innovative technologies and business models to make a positive difference in their customers' lives. They are committed to having a positive social and environmental impact. I connect them to potential buyers and distributors in the markets best-matched to their particular selling propositions throughout the world. I am well-known in the Austin and Texas business communities as an advocate of global opportunity and progressive ways of doing business. As a result, my clients experience higher and more dependable sales and opportunities to build worldwide networks and relationships and steadily enhance their own systems and capabilities. 

My work time is divided roughly equally between thinking, planning, and writing on the one hand and cultivating relationships on the other. I blog regularly and am invited to speak at least once a month about export-related issues.

Since I unlock enormous value for my clients, I enjoy a commensurately high income (at least $150,000), most of which is based on commissions on my clients' international sales. My work gives me plentiful and diverse opportunities to travel, enjoy new experiences and build a global web of relationships that I share with my personal and professional network, but it also leaves me ample time to enjoy with my family. Austin remains my "home base" between April and October, Prague the rest of the year, but I also spend considerable time in Asia and Latin America.
